After a quick Metro ride to drop our luggage off, we headed to Union Station and bought Hop on and Hop Off tickets. Little did we know that the greatest bonus of these tickets were free passes to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. We'll get to that later. First up, some classic DC scenery.

After a delicious meal at Shake Shack (better than Whataburger), we walked to Madame Tussauds. They had an excellent Hall of Presidents, where Isaac and I pretended like we were Bill and Ted, meeting some historical dudes. You might recognize some of them.
We even prepared for our future Normandy beach landing by getting behind some bunkers. Weren't the Germans, the ones behind the bunkers though?
We visited the U.S. Holocaust Museum (sorry no pictures allowed), met some of Dr. B's friends for a dinner. Dr. B. had lamb, Isaac had G.O.A.T. Wings. Now we're at the super nice dorm at the University of Maryland, and we're about to fall asleep, so we have to sign off. Join us tomorrow, when the Institute kicks off in earnest.

ReplyDeleteFirst question: What are GOAT wings??
ReplyDeleteRobin, GOAT is an acronym for Greatest of All Time...sadly Isaac said he'd had better.
